Mud Engineers

Mud engineers are critical to some horizontal directional drilling, and civil slurry projects. They monitor properties of your fluids, including dissolved solids, suspension, gel strengths, fluid loss, pH, alkalinities, weight, and viscosity. Every ground condition is different, and you would want different properties for different soils. They also monitor the fluid hydraulics of drilling process, if you have insufficient hydraulics for the reamer pass, you will have bedding which can lead to a plug off and will become an inadvertent return. This is one of our core services we office to general contractors and HDD contractors alike, depending on customer needs.

Preconstruction Investigation

Preconstruction investigation is an important aspect of engineering, providing critical information about the geological and geotechnical properties on the site. It's a pivotal part of the construction process. Site investigation helps engineers and designers to understand the site conditions and develop appropriate foundation designs and construction methods that are safe, economical, and sustainable. Site investigation is also used to identify potential hazards or risks that may affect the safety or performance of a project.

Field Engineering

Our experienced team of Field Engineers are cost effective in treating, avoiding problems and mitigating downtime. Which ends up being one of the most expensive costs of any project. Some of our clients utilize the field service group to overview projects, make sure start-up is going well, and to troubleshoot any foreseeable problems.

Construction Observation

Designing a trenchless project goes beyond the desk work in some ways, being present on site every step of the way is critical during project construction. We work closely with contractors to ensure that elements are constructed according to design specs and any hazardous materials are removed, if necessary. Being the eyes and ears of the owners or general contractors during the trenchless construction process.

Constructability Review

Prior to issuing bidding documents, constructability reviews can take place to help correct conflicts and clarify bidding requirements for potential contractors and any necessary sub-contractors. During a review, documents, including draft plans, technical specifications and the proposed bid schedule are analyzed for potential misunderstandings during and after the bidding process.
